Realme has launched its Budget centric phone C11 few days back for the price of Rupees 7,499 for the 2GB RAM and 32 GB ROM variant. Which is directly Compete with the Xiaomi Redmi 8a Dual who also have almost same specifications which the same price tag.

Realme C11 vs Redmi 8A Dual: Specifications compared
Both these handsets being affordable phones, it is not surprising to see them feature entry-level hardware as well. While the Realme C11 comes powered by the ‘new’ Mediatek Helio G35 processor, the Redmi 8A gets by with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 SoC, both of which are fairly identical. Both these SoCs, for example, are based on a 12nm manufacturing process and house 8x Arm Cortex A-53 cores. The Mediatek SoC has a higher clock speed (2.3Ghz) as opposed to 2GHz on the SD439. In terms of graphics, too, the SD439 trails behind the Helio G35 with the former using the Adreno 505 GPU and the latter using the faster PowerVR GE8320 chip clocked at 680Mhz. While it is true that the Helio G35 is part of Mediatek’s gaming-centric G-Series chipsets, do not expect a significant change in the overall performance when compared to the older Mediatek chipsets like the P35 and the A22. That being said, if performance is a crucial concern, there is no denying that the Realme C11 fares slightly better than the Redmi 8A.
starting with the base 2GB+32GB option (7,499 rupees), a mid-tier 3GB+32GB version (8,299 rupees), and a 3GB+64GB variant (8,999 rupees). Both the phones feature large 5,000mah batteries that easily deliver day-long battery life even with heavy use. Only the Redmi 8A Dual, however, supports fast charging technology with USB Type-C. The Realme C11 gets still uses a standard micro USB port and does not support fast charging. Note that you will need to buy a separate charger for enabling 18W fast charging on the Redmi 8A Dual since Xiaomi does not ship a fast charger with the phone.
Realme C11 vs Redmi 8A Dual: Display, Camera specifications
In terms of overall size, the Realme C11 is the larger of the two phones thanks to its 6.5-inch LCD display. This panel has a small notch at the top for the front-facing camera and boasts of HD+ resolution (1600×720 pixels). The display on the Redmi 8A Dual is slightly smaller in size and measures 6.22-inches across and boasts of 720*1520 pixels resolution. Realme C11 has Gorrila Glass 3 Protection , Xiaomi confirms that the display on the Redmi 8A boasts of a contrast ratio of 1500:1. The notch above the display on the Redmi 8A Dual is similar to the one on the Realme C11. Another advantage with the display on the Redmi 8A Dual is that it gets Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
Both these handsets get a near identical dual camera setup at the rear consisting of a primary 13MP f/2.2 camera and a secondary 2MP f/2.4 depth sensor. At the front, the Realme C11 gets a 5MP f/2.4 selfie camera while the Redmi 8A Dual gets an 8MP camera with a wider f/2.0 aperture. On paper, this should translate to better low light imaging for the Redmi. That being said, the final image quality will be dependent on the software processing that images undergo. Both these handsets can capture FHD videos at a max frame rate of 30fps using the primary rear camera.
Realme C11 vs Redmi 8A Dual: Software, other features
Both the phones in this comparison run Android 10 – currently the newest stable version of Android. In the case of the Realme C11, this phone uses the updated Realme UI, which is a derivation of ColorOS 7 with subtle changes. Realme UI gets several feature additions, including a system-wide dark mode and several other privacy features. At the other end of the spectrum, the Redmi 8A Dual currently runs Android 9 Pie – albeit with MIUI 11. While choosing between custom skins is a matter of personal preference, there is no doubt that the Realme C11 is at an advantage here because it is on a newer Android version. I also prefer ColorOS to MIUI – but then that is a purely personal choice.
Note that both the handsets in this comparison lack a fingerprint scanner. The only ‘biometric’ option is the Face Unlock feature. As expected of devices in this class, the Realme C11 and the Redmi 8A Dual are both 4G VoLTE ready and happen to be dual SIM capable as well. Both the handsets get a triple slot that can take in two SIM cards and one microSD card at the same time.
As far as the overall design language is concerned, both the handsets look very good – but the Realme C11 does stand out with its new camera layout and the stripe with the vertical Realme branding. The Redmi 8A dual is not a bad looker by any means but there is no denying that it looks a bit dated in comparison.
Realme C11 vs Redmi 8A Dual Conclusion :
If you are looking for the More Storage option like 64 GB you can go with Redmi 8a Dual which also support the 18 w fast charging but unfortunately, Xiaomi only provide the standard 10 w charger in the box. If you have a tighter budget then Realme C11 is best option which has fresh new design, Bigger display, Better processor than Redmi 8a Dual and icing on the cake, latest android 10 out of the box.
